Work Package

SEE-ERA-NET operates through a structured framework comprising eight distinct work packages (WP).

WP1-3 focus on facilitating systematic information exchange and sharing of best practices among participating bilateral programs. WP2 places particular emphasis on conducting thorough analytical assessments to understand the specific needs of West Balkan countries regarding international RTD cooperation, ensuring that our future initiatives are finely tailored to address these requirements. WP3 emphasizes the crucial task of identifying synergies at the project level to optimize collaborative efforts.

Building upon the insights gained from WP1-3, WP4 serves as the central work package, structured to facilitate a structured communication and decision-making process aimed at identifying potential strategic activities between different bilateral RTD programs. Drawing from the outcomes of WP4, WP5 will operationalize and implement a series of joint activities among consortium participants, leveraging the flexibility of a variable geometry approach.

Work Package

WP6 marks a significant milestone, where a pilot RTD program for Southeast Europe will be established. This phase will involve launching a joint call for proposals within a specific scientific and technological area, leveraging the transnational evaluation system established in the interim. Adherence to agreed-upon rules and regulations, as well as a committed code of conduct, will govern this major exercise. Projects selected through this process will be funded under a yet-to-be-defined financial regime and closely monitored. WP6 will also focus on assimilating lessons learned and exploring avenues for sustainable follow-up activities.

WP7 plays a crucial role in facilitating internal and external communication and managing public relations throughout the project’s duration.

Lastly, WP8 provides proactive project management support to all work packages, ensuring efficient coordination and implementation. All participating countries and organizations contribute to and are involved in each work package, ensuring a collaborative and inclusive approach to achieving our objectives.
